MASTRANT-Q is a guyrope optimized for guying with respect to maximized "performance/price" ratio. This excellent rope offers very good strength, low elongation, high UV, and humidity resistance. It has low weight, great abrasion resistance, great durability, and is nonconductive (no effect whatsoever on your antenna). Moreover, in contrast to ropes made from aramid fibres (Kevlar, Vectran, Technora, Twaron), it has knot strength of about 60 %. Mastrant-Q replaced Mastrant-P with a diameter of 6 mm (1/4 in.) and larger.

Note: the packing 10 m in hank is a sample version with a slightly different color design.

Construction: Braided rope with twisted cores
Core: Polyester and Polypropylene, parallel-arranged twisted cores
Cover: Polyester

As your interest in the hobby grows, you will find other uses for any excess rope i.e. try another antenna or pass along to a fellow club member? Some of us, personally, use our excess rope all the time and they are glad to have it - splice sections together all the time :)

How to choose a suitable rope? See here.
